Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms with a tatami sitting area, providing a comfortable stay. The service is exceptional, especially for families, with staff going above and beyond to assist guests. The location is great for exploring the area, although some transportation options may require additional fees. The dining experience is culturally enriching with traditional Japanese meals, albeit slightly limited in variety. Overall, a valuable stay with some minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms offered a lovely view of the mountains and were set up nicely, complete with a small table with tea on the tatami matting. The room was spacious enough for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids above the age of 10, though it did need a bit of refreshment. The service was decent, with the staff being polite and helpful, despite seeming surprised when we brought a child along. The location, while scenic, was quite far from the station and up hills, which could be challenging for some. The dining experience was culturally enriching but limited in options, stopping too early in the morning. The facilities were satisfactory, with some room for improvement. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for enhancement.
The hotel is nestled in the mountains with a very traditional Japanese theme. The rooms were nice but slightly outdated, featuring two single beds and a tatami sitting area. The staff, although not English-speaking, are gentle and attentive, providing a shuttle service to nearby destinations. The location is ideal for using the Hakone rail pass but may be a bit out of the way for main attractions. The dining experience is very traditional and may not suit everyone, with a decent buffet selection available. Overall, a great stay with some traditional Japanese charm.
I had a great time at the hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and traditional Japanese style, perfect for my group of friends. The value for money with dinner and breakfast included was fantastic. However, the language barrier with the staff made it challenging, and the location, though scenic, was a bit out of the way.
The hotel offered spacious Japanese rooms with traditional futon bedding, ideal for a group of friends. However, the lingering smell of cigarette smoke was a drawback during my stay.
Upon entering, I found the hotel to be quite spacious and airy, especially compared to other places we stayed at during our trip. The staff members were friendly and nice, but we were unsure about using facilities at the sister hotel nearby, which limited our dinner options. However, they did come in to make our futons for us, which was a nice touch.
